Where I live, spring has been announcing itself for
\nweeks, with pussy willows, crocuses, snowdrops,
\ndaffodils, and now tiny green leaves and plum,
\ncrabapple, and cherry blossoms, despite bursts of cold
\nand snow.<\/p>\n
It’s a useful metaphor for wonderful things coming in
\nyour life.<\/p>\n
Whatever may be going on that isn’t as you would wish
\nit to be, there are also new things emerging that are
\nlovely in their own right, and also signs of more good
\nto come.<\/p>\n
For me, that metaphor would be that on the third cold,
\nwet, cloudy day in a row, I could get to whining that
\nit’s “always” like this, and suffering because my
\nattention is on what I don’t like that is showing up
\nright now.<\/p>\n
The other side of the metaphor is that I experience
\ngreat joy when my attention is on the explosion of life
\nand color that comes with spring.<\/p>\n
I get to choose where to put my attention, which then
\nrules how I feel, which then guides my language and
\nbehavior, which then reinforce what else shows up in my
\nexperience.<\/p>\n
If I want good things to happen in my finances,
\nbusiness, relationships, body, home, I can use the
\ncoming of spring to start feeling happy. Then I can
\nturn that happy attitude toward whatever else could use
\nan extra dose of positivity.<\/p>\n
I can look for and enjoy signs of coming attractions,
\nno matter what reality is playing right now.<\/p>\n
The word “springboard” takes on a whole new meaning!
