IF you’ve been with me for a few years, you know
that every year around this time I encourage you
to participate in the annual Tapping World Summit.
It’s time to sign up for the 9th annual summit!
Here’s the link to the first yummy video with Nick
Ortner:

If you’ve missed the previous summits, or don’t
know what this is about, here’s why I promote this
event:
EFT Tapping is a quick process that works for me
to heal my own acute illnesses and pain, that I
share with most of my patients for handling their
stress, pain, and illness.
But of course it only works if you are willing to
try it, and if you know how!
The easiest way I know of is to expose yourself to
loads of different EFT/Tapping teachers who walk
and talk you through using the technique, starting
with Nick, teaching you how to shift that #1 thing
we all have in common, that drives all of our
health issues.

And, because you’re my subscriber, I want to talk
with you about your experience. Does tapping work
for you? Do you feel resistance to doing it? Have
you used it and not gotten any results? Are you
wondering what it has to do with The Science of
Being Well? Let’s talk! Post your comment here.

the system set to manually approve the first post

future posts will appear right away.)
I had tapping sessions long before Nick promoted them, but unfortunately it never helped me at all. I even bought the complete set of CDs. Different treatments seem to work for different people.
Kind regards
Christa
Hi Christa,
When I first encountered tapping, it didn’t work for me at all either. What I found was that I had a lot of resistance to letting go of the stuff that was bothering me, so the things I thought I was supposed to say didn’t work. Among other things, I figured out that I had to love and accept myself even though I (or a part of me) was determined to suffer and feel miserable, refused to let go of my limiting beliefs, and was certain I could never change. I had to figure out what to say that actually felt true and genuine, instead of just going through the motions.
After the first breakthrough, it still took me a while to get to a point where it reliably helped. What I had to do was integrate my own evolving spiritual beliefs, make it my own language, translate directly from the energy I could feel, rather than just parroting someone else’s script. It also helped me to listen to lots of different teachers–of tapping as well as other methods of healing–and pick and choose what resonated with me, and integrate all of it into my own thing.
What did you experience when you tried it? Did it feel artificial to you? Did the words fit? I’d genuinely like to know, because I’ve been considering if I could write a book or offer some form of help for people who, like me and maybe you, wanted it to work, but it didn’t.
Meanwhile, what treatments have you found that work better for you?
Thanks so much for engaging in the conversation!
Alexandra
I tried it a few years ago, but unfortunately it did not work for me. I really wanted it to.
Hi Tracy,
When you say you tried it, what do you mean? Did you use a book? Take a course? Did you work with a practitioner? Did you tap along with the Tapping World Summit? I’m so curious because, as I wrote in my reply to Christa, it didn’t seem to work for me at first either. I had to learn to work with it, and that took a variety of exposures and attempts. I’d really like to understand more about what makes a useful tool for some, and what keeps others from getting the results they want. Can you give more details?
Thanks for helping us understand!
Warmly,
Alexandra
