When I think about the world I love living in, I think
about the people and animals I love, the beauty and joy
that surrounds me, the countless opportunities there
are for all of us, and how very grateful I am to know
that we all have the power to create our own realities.
I love opportunities to spread that awareness to those
ready to know it.
Sometimes, really painful situations are what it takes
to reach across barriers of difference, distance, fear,
prejudice, and attachment to the familiar.
Pain is what opened me up to trying something as weird
as Tapping in the first place. It was the pain of
feeling powerless to help people who had come to me for
help, and the pain of my own personal suffering.
There’s no shortage of pain in the lives of most people
on the planet. Rich or poor, famous or unknown, healthy
or sick, educated or unschooled, religious or atheist,
few are exempt.
There are lots of people who are ready and willing,
calling out to God or the universe for help. You may be
one of them. People in “worse” circumstances than yours
are among them. People in “better” circumstances than
yours are among them.
Do you recognize and accept the help that comes?
It reminds me of this story:
A terrible storm came into a town and local
officials sent out an emergency warning that
the riverbanks would soon overflow and flood
the nearby homes. They ordered everyone in the
town to evacuate immediately.
A faithful religious man heard the warning and
decided to stay, saying to himself, “I will
trust God and if I am in danger, then God will
send a divine miracle to save me.”
The neighbors came by his house and said to
him, “We’re leaving and there is room for you
in our car, please come with us!” But the man
declined. “I have faith that God will save me.”
As the man stood on his porch watching the
water rise up the steps, a man in a canoe
paddled by and called to him, “Hurry and get
in my canoe, the waters are rising quickly!”
But the man again said, “No thanks, God will
save me.”
The floodwaters rose higher pouring water into
his living room and the man had to retreat to
the second floor. A police motorboat came by
and saw him at the window. “We will come up
and rescue you!” they shouted. But the man
refused, waving them off saying, “Use your
time to save someone else! I have faith that
God will save me!”
The flood waters rose higher and higher and
the man had to climb up to his rooftop.
A helicopter spotted him and dropped a rope
ladder. A rescue officer came down the ladder
and pleaded with the man, “Grab my hand and I
will pull you up!” But the man STILL refused,
folding his arms tightly to his body. “No thank
you! God will save me!”
Shortly after, the house broke up and the
floodwaters swept the man away and he drowned.
When in Heaven, the man stood before God and
asked, “I put all of my faith in You. Why
didn’t You come and save me?”
And God said, “Son, I sent you a warning. I
sent you a car. I sent you a canoe. I sent you
a motorboat. I sent you a helicopter. What more
were you looking for?”
If you’ve been looking for help, what forms of help
have you been ignoring?
The Tapping World Summit has just ended. I hope you
were able to take full advantage of this amazing free
ten day online event. If you missed that boat, here’s
another. You can still get all the recordings at a
bargain.
The cool thing is that this week, the folks who
sponsored the Summit, Nick, Jessica, and Alex Ortner,
are donating 100% of the profits from the sale of those
recordings to send “cars, boats, and helicopters” to
others. Not literally–it’s a metaphor. I mean they are
spreading Tapping in an empowering model that helps
people help themselves and others, all over the world.
There’s an inspiring video here that shows what they
are doing:
This year I was smart and got the Summit recordings at
the beginning, so I didn’t have to stress about missing
a day. The transcripts and workbook were really helpful
to use as I listened. They are even more helpful now,
as I go back to pick up the couple of sessions I
missed, and review my favorites. There were so many
this year!
I’ve committed to doing the 40 days of Tapping Jessica
suggested in the wonderful “Bonus Day” to free myself
of all kinds of limiting beliefs I’ve been using
against myself, and I’m grateful for the audios to help
me stay on track.
If you’d like to join me in this, let’s share our
success and support here!
Meanwhile, I think you’ll enjoy the video. Then, maybe
you’ll be among those both receiving and participating
in sending “cars, boats, and helicopters!”
With warm appreciation,
Alexandra
Dr. Alexandra Gayek
P.S. The recordings will only be available for a short
time, so if you’d like to get them, now’s the time!
